ANJEE Logo Contest

New Jersey students in grades 6 - 12 who are enrolled in a public school, independent school, or are schooled at home. Educator and parent assistance with submissions are strongly encouraged and appreciated.

In order to allow for a diverse range of entries, we will be accepting any and all formats of your logo designs. Thus, if we really like your logo and it is chosen as a winner, it can be recreated and redrawn professionally if necessary. Therefore, submission formats can include:

1) Pencil / colored pencil sketches and drawings
2) Pen and ink sketches and drawings
3) Computer design (ideally - Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator)
4) Photography
5) Other - if you think it’ll work, try it and share it!

1)“ANJEE” must be visible
2)There should be only 1 or 2 colors (black and/or green)
3)There should be a clear connection to New Jersey
4)It should reflect the vision and mission of ANJEE:

The Alliance for New Jersey Environmental Education (ANJEE) envisions a time when people will embrace their place in the natural world, understand that human health is dependent on a healthy environment and have the skills they need to enjoy their environment and protect it for present and future generations.

ANJEE supports and advances environmental education efforts in New Jersey for people of all ages in order to cultivate an environmentally literate population.

Two (2) entries from each individual may be submitted.

All submissions must be postmarked by or email time stamped by April 5, 2013.

NOTE: If a person under the age of 18 appears in a photograph, the parental consent line on the entry form must be signed by the child’s parent or guardian.

Included in the entry form we are asking for a brief explanation of the submission and how it relates to NJ and ANJEE’s mission and vision.

After 27 years, ANJEE has grown significantly as an organization. We have become the voice of Environmental Education in the state of New Jersey through the alliances we have built over the years. Although our original logo has a lot of significance in our history, we are looking to revitalize our look to better represent who we are and what we do as an organization.

This logo, used by ANJEE since 1985, was designed at that time by Natalie Schaeffer, a student at Kittatiny Regional High School.

This project was suggested to her by her former environmental science teacher Wayne DeFeo, one of ANJEE’s founding members.

Yes. The student whose submission gets chosen for our new logo will be awarded with a gift basket made up of donations from members of our alliance. All submissions will be displayed on our website with the name of the student and their teacher and school.

Again, we want to allow for a diverse range of entries so pixels and size are irrelevant. However, you should try to keep non-digital entries to under 8.5” x 11”

Online voting will take place from April 14 - April 21, 2013.

We will announce ANJEE’s new logo on April 22, 2013 - Earth Day!
